Your inspiration to, and your guidance of our students in their gastronomic journey,
now and in the future?
Totally at home at Zuyd – Hotel Management School Maastricht.
The world of gastronomy is in constant movement. More than ever, consumers are aware of their food consumption and its effects on their physical and mental health. Moreover, food is seen as experience instead of a mere consumption good. For our students to be of significance in the future of gastronomy, you as lecturer play an important role. To inspire our students to develop themselves within this special field of expertise and to look further than the current status quo. To use your knowledge and experience, and to guide our upcoming young professionals through the current state of gastronomy. To challenge them to shape the future of the Food & Beverage industry. Hostmanship is at the hearth of everything that you do.

Is this how you would like to practice your profession? Then you probably feel completely at home at Hotel Management School Maastricht.
That’s why you feel at home at Hotel Management School Maastricht
You endorse the importance of good education and are driven to take ownership of the position as higher education lecturer. To students you are a source of inspiration and a role model; to colleagues you will act as a team player, bringing positive energy and contributing to the education of the future generation of hospitality managers.

You will be included in the Hotel Management School Maastricht community and stand for small-scale and intensive education. In addition to your passion for and knowledge of your own discipline, as a lecturer you contribute to the next step in hospitality, both to students and colleagues.
Meet your team
You will provide workshops in both Dutch and English in the field of flavour & taste education within the context of hospitality management. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to the further development of the educational bachelor programme, being able to translate the upcoming gastronomy trends into the curriculum. And of course you put this into practice in lectures, project assignments, practical workshops and applied research projects. You will coach students in their study progress, in community building and during their internships. And you will help your students grow as professionals and as human beings and contribute to their future.
Together with your colleagues, you prepare talented students for the (international) hospitality world of today and tomorrow. You will focus on all aspects of gastronomy in our curriculum. In the first year, you will guide students through their first steps in flavour & taste education in a practical way. Later on you take an expert role in coaching and supervision of a variety of projects. You are a linking pin between Hotel Management School Maastricht and the gastronomy industry.
